Our Premium Orchid Bark is made from high-quality Douglas Fir bark sourced within North America, specifically selected for its aeration, drainage, and cleanliness. Ideal for orchids, aroids, and general houseplants, this heat-treated bark is free from pests and rigorously screened for debris. With its slow decay rate, it provides long-lasting support for healthy root growth. Use by mixing your own custom potting soil, or on its own for some orchids. It also serves as an attractive top dressing for both indoor and outdoor pots, adding a natural, rustic touch to your plant displays.

Due to the dryness of the bark, we recommend soaking the portion you're using in water overnight, or at least 2 hours. Let it drain thoroughly for a few minutes before potting up your plant. Ensure any remainder is dried completely before storing away.

Available in 2 sizes:
Fine (5mm to 20mm) for small roots
Coarse (10mm to 35mm) for medium and large roots

This product is packed in reclosable, recyclable #4 plastic bags, and to reduce waste, we may reuse shipping materials.
